VPN for PC: system proxy or full client

Which programmes follow a system proxy, which ignore it, and how a client in TUN mode changes that.

Operator's sheet

The system proxy is a polite request

On a computer, the system proxy setting is a note that says "please send your web traffic here". Browsers usually read it. Many other programmes do not: updaters, game launchers, terminal tools and some chat apps open their own connections. So a VPN for PC that works in proxy mode can leave half of the machine on the ordinary route while the browser tab looks protected.

A VPN client in TUN mode works differently. It creates a virtual network adapter and sends the whole computer's traffic through it, whether the programme asked for that or not. That mode is also called system-wide.

Choosing a client, and what we can say about it

We ship no app. You install a free client that reads a VLESS subscription link, for example Hiddify on Windows, Mac and Linux (its project page lists those platforms), and import the link from the bot. The link arrives from the bot within about a minute, no account needed. Traffic is unlimited and one link has no device cap; no logs of your visits or connections are kept.

Where the client came from matters more than its price. Download from the developer's own page, check the file name and version, and avoid mirrors that wrap installers in extra programmes.

Sites offering a free VPN download for PC often bundle ads or extra software, and you cannot judge an installer by its looks.

Setting up for the whole computer

  1. Get your link from the Telegram bot.

  2. Install the client and import the link from the clipboard.

  3. Switch to TUN or system-wide mode and accept the administrator prompt.

  4. Choose one of the locations: Germany, Austria, Czechia, Singapore or South Korea.

  5. Run an IP check and a DNS leak test, then try a programme that ignores browser settings.

When the system proxy is enough

If you only want one browser to use another route, and you do not mind that the rest of the machine goes the normal way, a system proxy or a browser extension is enough. If you work on public Wi-Fi, use a laptop for banking or run tools outside the browser, choose TUN mode. The service has no Indian servers, so a tool that needs an Indian address will not be helped here.

The split above comes from a vendor, so confirm it with the free IP tools before you believe it. Part of this page was drafted by an AI model before an editor compared it with how the service works.

Call log

01Does a VPN for PC slow the computer down?

There is some overhead from encryption, but we publish no speed figures, and the effect depends on your connection and the chosen location.

02Will TUN mode break my local printer?

It can, if the printer's network range is sent into the tunnel. Add that range as an exception in the client's rules.

03Is a work laptop a good place to run it?

Look up your employer's rules on tunnels before you set anything up. A company laptop may have its own rules on tunnels and proxies, and you answer for them.

04What about Windows 7?

Support depends on the client you choose, so check the client's own download page before relying on it.

05Does one link cover my PC, laptop and phone?

Yes, the same link works on all of them.

06What form does payment take for a work laptop?

In the bot, with cryptocurrency. The bot takes crypto only; card and UPI payments do not go through.

One lever, one link

The link arrives in about a minute, the trial costs nothing, and nothing renews on its own.
